We just finished our new demo reel for 2011. We have a great deal of fun putting these together, it’s a chance to show everyone how we shoot and edit our wedding coverage. In the last year we have moved to a more cinematic style of shooting, it has been both challenging and a lot of fun at the same time. Take a look and enjoy.

For 2011 Baran Video Productions has been named both Best of Weddings on the Knot and the winner of The Brides Choice Award on The Wedding Wire. This is the second year in a row in which we have received these awards.  We would like to thank all of our couples, families and friends  for all of their support.  We vow to continue the same high level of creativity, service and customer satisfaction that has become our trademark as we go forward into the new year.

It’s time again for the Winter Bridal Show at Crystal Gardens in Howell. This is always one of our favorite shows. Lots of vendors and great food to sample. Stop by our booth and take a look at some of the things we have planned for the upcoming wedding season or just say hi. See you there!

It has been a wonderful year. Once again, we were voted one of the top 5 wedding videographers in metro Detroit according to WDIV’s 4 the Best. We were also voted Best of Weddings for 2010 on both The Knot and The Wedding Wire. There have been so many wonderful couples, families and events. We can begin to thank everyone but we vow to continue the level of creativity, personal service and care for our clients that has become our trademark. Best wishes for a wonderful and prosperous 2011.

Our last wedding of the year was “extra” special as it took us to Tucson, Arizona, where we had the privilege of filming our niece’s wedding.  The ceremony was set against a beautiful desert mountain landscape on a warm October evening, which was the perfect place for Siobhen and Jim to promise a lifetime of love to each other in front of family and close friends. Siobhen’s son, Casey was the best man and was presented with a family medallion,  symbolizing the special bond that exists between he, Siobhen, and Jim as they begin their journey as a family.  The reception featured a Southwest sunset, wonderful food, heartfelt speeches and an exciting choreographed first dance by the couple!  It was a indeed a special day!  Siobhen, Jim and Casey,  we wish you all our love and a lifetime of happiness!!

The results are in, Baran Video Productions finished third in the 4 the Best Contest, wedding/videography, sponsored by WDIV for 2010. It was our second top five finish in a row and we are excited, considering there were fifty studios competing. Thank you to all who gave us your vote, your thoughtfulness is deeply appreciated. It is humbling to know so many people love our work and the way we go about doing it.  We look forward to maintaining the same high level of quality and service that helped us attain this honor.

We are in Tucson shooting Siobhen’s and Jim wedding, what a spectacular setting for a wedding with mountains, desert art and clear, cool skies as far as the eye can see.  Following the festivities we are off to California for 8 days of rest and relaxtion!

The second of two weddings in one weekend found Betty and I at the North Branch United Methodist Church for Dani and Chris’s wedding. It may have been a rainy day outside, but it did not dampen the spirits of the couple and their guests. Following a touching ceremony, the reception took place at the Metamora Lions Club. The reception featured a suprise 50th anniversary celebration for the bride’s parents, which included a cake and memorabilla from their wedding. The couple celebrated with their family and friends by sharing a delicious meal and dancing the night away.

Dani and Chris, thanks for letting us share your marriage celebration and we wish you all the best in the years to come.

The first day of October found us filming Michelle and Ryan’s outdoor ceremony on the grounds of Meadowbrook Hall. This was a particularly special wedding, because Michelle grew up next door to us, and her parents have been long- time friends.  Between the ceremony and reception, we had several opportunities for great footage of the couple and their wedding party on the beautiful grounds of Meadowbrook.  The reception inside the historic Meadowbrook Hall featured delicious food and a choreographed entrance and first dance by the couple.  The couple and their family and friends danced the night away, capping off a day that was a true celebration of Michelle and Ryan’s life together.

Michelle and Ryan, filming your special day was truly a memorable experience, and we are so happy to have been part of it! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!
