What an amazing wedding! The coming together of two cultures – Ghanaian and Russian – two lives and two families was truly an unforgettable experience. In our intial meeting with the couple and Stella, and after attending rehearsal the night before, we knew we were in for something very special! The wedding celebration began at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wayne where Marina and Gerard Kofi Nimako were united in marriage in a traditional Catholic Mass before family and friends. The reception site at Joy Manor in Westland was beautifully decorated and featured a sampling of Ghanaian cuisine. After dinner, the couple changed into Ghanaian wedding attire and were married in a traditional Ghanaian wedding ceremony. It was so much fun – the colors, the music and the dancing just permeated your very being! Thank you Stella, Marina, and Kofi for giving us the privilege of being part of your day and thank you Genevieve and Juliet for your help and friendship.
